Dédale is Franco Maria Ricci’s new literary series. Published in collaboration with L’ECOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, it brings together novels and stories that tell of buried treasure, remarkable collections, dazzling jewels and gemstones.
The Dédale series sets out to bridge literature and the Arts, bringing together works by renowned authors and carefully chosen images. Within the series, contemporary artists such as David B. and Laurent de Commines alternate with masters of the past: the former have created original, previously unpublished illustrations for Treasure Island and Madame de , while the latter – including Honoré Daumier and Wenzel Hablik – were particularly attuned to the atmospheres of Zweig’s tale and George Sand’s novel. Each volume represents a journey into a new literary and artistic universe – a maze in which to lose ourselves, wander and return.
