In the Seventies, Franco Maria Ricci turned his attention to a project for reprinting the Encyclopédie, produced between 1751 and 1772. The edition published by Ricci comprises eighteen volumes: twelve contain all the engravings, five others contain the items deemed of greatest significance, and one contains a series of previously unpublished essays.
